Lindenwood’s ParaEdge program helps working paraprofessionals become certified teachers without leaving the classroom.

How ParaEdge Works

  • Paraprofessionals self-identify as employees of a partner district for streamlined admission/advising.
  • Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) available for up to 9 hours at graduate level: candidates submit documentation (employment, LETRS training if applicable, mentorship verification, principal confirmation).
  • District成人视频揢niversity partnership: Lindenwood provides coursework, mentoring, advising, and certification guidance; districts provide authentic instructional experience.
  • Practicum & observation flexibility: completed in the candidate成人视频檚 current school site.
  • CPL credit posting fee aligns with catalog: $100 per credit (applies to experiential credits).
  • Individualized pathways created by dedicated Education Advisors.

Experiential Credit (Up to 9 Graduate Hours)

Approved experiential credits may include EDU 50000, EDU 51000, and EDU 50600 (based on verified eligibility).

Certification Options

  • MAT: Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary, and Special Education
  • FTAC: Middle and High School (Temporary Authorization Certificate)
  • FTAC: Special Education (Temporary Authorization Certificate)
  • Transcript review to identify the fastest route (AAT Core 42 preferred).
  • BA: Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education
  • BA: Educational Studies (includes certification options in Middle School and Secondary content areas)
