Admin Wireless Upgrade

Coming in May 2026

Lindenwood IT will be upgrading the wireless network in all administrative buildings this summer. This upgrade will bring fast, reliable wireless networking to all admin buildings on campus utilizing the same technology used in residential halls and off-campus housing to maximize wireless coverage.

What to expect during the upgrade beginning in May

Teams of installation: Techs will be deployed across campus beginning the week after finals. These teams will upgrade the wireless networks on a set schedule (see below), upgrading one building at a time and completing that building before moving onto the next. If the building you work in is on the schedule, then expect intermittent wireless internet access in the building for that day.  Once the team completes the upgrade, you will be able to rejoin the new wireless SSIDs to connect your device(s) back onto the Lindenwood wireless network. This upgrade will not impact devices that are plugged into the wired network, such as most computer stations or printers. The teams of installers will be upgrading the wireless access points (WAPs) in all buildings. This work may require them to bring a ladder or other tools into your work area for the installation.  The techs will take all due caution in your areas and leave them as clean as they found them once done with the installation.  If you have any issues or questions about the work being performed, please don成人视频檛 hesitate to reach out to the IT Help Desk ([email protected]).

New SSIDs

This upgrade will change the SSIDs that we use to connect to the Lindenwood wireless network. You do not need to take any action with the old Lindenwood SSIDs, but will need to connect to the correct new SSID below:

Lions

This is the student, faculty, and staff SSID to be used while on campus. You will use your Lindenwood email address and password to join this network.

Lions Guest

This is the guest network for visitors to use while on campus. There are no login requirements to use this network, other than the end user agreement on the 成人视频渟plash page成人视频 when joining the network.

Lions DEV

This is the Internet of Things (IOT) network used across campus for wireless devices, such as TVs and other audio visual equipment.  This network is password protected and is only used for university devices.
